Vote Yes on Ballot Question 2B

A small cost for tourists,
a big splash for Cañon City

Every Town Needs A Pool in Canon City

What’s 2B?

Voters approved funding to build a new pool last year. But without 2B, the pool cannot open because 2B provides the money to operate it.

2B uses a small tax on tourist attractions (not groceries, gas, or utilities). Visitors, not residents, will cover about 95% of the cost. That means Canon City gets the pool it voted for without placing the burden on local families.

Why It Matters

  • Safety is a priority for a river city like Canon City.

    Safety for Kids and Families

Swim lessons save lives, and 2B ensures tourists cover the cost.

  • Seniors, Veterans, and Families will benefit from a Canon City Pool.

    Health for Every Generation

Seniors, veterans, and families all benefit from a safe, year-round place to swim, funded mostly by visitors.

  • Attract new jobs to the area to build a healthier community in Canon City

A Stronger Community and Local Economy

A pool boosts quality of life and helps Canon City thrive, while tourists pay the bill.

“It’s not just an amenity, it’s an essential ingredient of a vibrant town.”

Bob S.
