What’s 2B?
Ballot Question 2B is a smart, sustainable way to fund operations of the new pool facility without raising property taxes.
Voters approved funding to build a new indoor pool and an outdoor pool. But without 2B, the pool facility cannot open because 2B provides financial support to operate it.
2B uses a small tax on tourist attractions (not groceries, gas, or utilities). Visitors, not residents, will cover about 95% of the cost. That means Canon City gets the indoor/outdoor pool it voted for without placing the burden on local families.
